Lithuanian army to deploy 400 troops to ensure 3SI Summit security

The Lithuanian army command has announced that the country will send 400 military personnel to ensure the security of the Three Seas Initiative Summit scheduled to take place in Vilnius on April 11th, TASS reports

It is reported that 400 military personnel from different units of the Latvian Armed Forces will be involved in ensuring security at the event.

It is also noted that an air defence battalion armed with NASAMS multiple launch rocket systems will move to the designated location of the summit.

The Three Seas Initiative is an informal association of 13 countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Estonia.
