MP thanked the West for sanctions: you cemented Union State for centuries

By their actions, the Western states have brought Belarus and Russia even closer to each other – as stated by a deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Oleg Gaidukevich, in his talk with SB TV

Mr. Gaidukevich noted that the West wanted to destroy Belarus and Russia, but actually brought the countries closer together. “I would like to primarily address the West: thank you for the sanctions, for the war that you declared on us – no matter how it may sound. There is a great advantage of this: you have cemented the Union State for centuries. We will definitely be together for a very long time from now on. I am also grateful to dear opposition members who stay in Lithuania and Poland: thank you for August 2020, which strengthened the Union State," the deputy stressed, adding that no ‘fifth column’ will ever participate in legal politics.

The MP added that the Union State strengthens Belarus’ sovereignty, independence and statehood. “Independence is sacred for us,” he stressed. “We have said many times that the only way for Lithuania and Ukraine to be truly independent is to join the alliance of Belarus and Russia. If there is no union, then there is no independence. This is the fundamental truth,” Mr. Gaidukevich said.
