Chibisov: build-up of NATO forces near our borders is done to intimidate Belarus and Russia
Recently, the number of operational and combat training activities of the North Atlantic Alliance near the borders of Belarus and Russia has been steadily growing. In the last two years alone, the number of annual exercises of the NATO armed forces has more than tripled in Eastern Europe. At the same time, various types of actions are being worked out, and not only defensive ones. Military analyst Igor Chibisov explained the sb.by portal why is this needed today.
“All this is done with one goal: to intimidate Belarus and our ally Russia. First of all, the United States and the West see that they are not achieving the goals set in Ukraine. They have one goal: to weaken the Russian Federation, to split it into small states under their control, and to place their puppets in Belarus, as in Poland and the Baltic States. After that, the West will throw all its forces and means into the fight against China – their key adversary – as was publicly announced. This all is done in order to keep the unipolar world, leaving the US the right to control and manage it, according to its rules and laws. But this is no longer possible, life is changing, a new multipolar format of international relations is being created – the EAEU, the SCO, BRICS, and other states that do not want to live at the behest of the United States,” summed up the military expert.
