50 videos about Belarusian brands prepared by Chinese undergraduates of BSU

Around 50 videos about Belarusian brands were prepared by Chinese undergraduates of the Belarusian State University (BSU) to be presented at the international scientific hackathon, entitled Belarus and China: Brands, Media Relations, and Cultural Codes, held from March 27th-29th

“For two months, more than 50 Chinese foreign undergraduate journalists have been working on creating videos to promote Belarusian brands of food, light industry and engineering,” the BSU press service reported. Among them are confectionery, bakery and dairy products, clothing, transport, etc. Moreover, undergraduates proposed ideas for the efficient promotion of Chinese products on the Belarusian market. These are well-known brands of cars and gadgets.

A total of 54 projects were proposed across nine categories, including Positioning of Belarusian Brands in the International Arena; Scientific Communication: Trends, Image of a Scientist, Scientific Journalism; Peculiarities of Promotion of Chinese Brands in the Belarusian Market; The National Brand; The Best Research on the Use of Cultural Codes in Promoting the Interests of Companies, etc.

The hackathon programme includes master classes for undergraduates from experts in the field of marketing and communications. They discuss the national cultural codes, the organisation of communications in an IT company, the peculiarities of organising an event for business, etc. Moreover, hackathon participants tackle the issues of scientific communication in the formation of a national brand, the risks of sanctions pressure and growth points for promoting country brands.
