Paratroopers, tankers, motorised infantry, gunners, air defence complexes are on combat duty around the clock, they patrol territories, serve at checkpoints, conduct reconnaissance using unmanned aerial vehicles.
The units of the Armed Forces work in close co-operation with representatives of local authorities, border guards, and employees of the Interior Ministry.
Special attention is paid to the fight against drones. Armoured vehicles are equipped with various types of anti-drone protection.
A soldier of the special operations forces noted, "Units of the special operations forces are stationed in the area of the task and engaged into strengthening of our southern borders. We are daily involved into tactical training and co-ordination of units in the designated area. Fortified strong points and borders are equipped with engineering equipment. The overall situation on the border is tense, but controlled. Every day we record the flights of reconnaissance unmanned aircraft from the Ukrainian side, the operation of radio and optical reconnaissance equipment. Foot patrols work around the clock along the state border, and duty is carried out at checkpoints. We have established co-operation with local residents, with whom we have been working for several years. If suspicious persons or unfamiliar equipment come, they promptly inform us. The terrain in which special operations forces operate is usually difficult, with deep forests and swamps. We control water barriers as well. All our servicemen are aimed at high results. We are defending our Motherland, and it is a great honour for us."
