Russian Government approved agreement with Belarus on establishment of joint military training centres

The Government of the Russian Federation has approved an agreement with Belarus on the establishment and operation of combat training centres for joint preparation of servicemen of the Russian and Belarusian armed forces – as envisaged by the relevant resolution posted on the Russian official Internet portal of legal information

The Russian Government has decided to submit a proposal to sign the above-mentioned agreement to the Russian President. According to the document, the agreement has been previously worked out with the Belarusian side.

It follows from the agreement that the centres are intended, among other things, to increase the level of coherence and combat training of Russian and Belarusian military, and their main tasks will include joint combat training, duty (combat, experimental combat), and other combat training tasks.

Along with this, the two states’ servicemen will exchange experience in the use of weapons, military and special equipment, and master practical skills. Unification of combat training of the armed forces of Belarus and Russia is also among the tasks set.
