Russian General Surovikin declared Kiev's readiness to use prohibited methods of war

The situation in the special operation zone is tense. Ukraine is preparing to use prohibited methods of warfare in Kherson and is planning a strike on the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric dam. This was stated by Russian Army General Sergei Surovikin, RIA Novosti reports.

As informed by Mr. Surovikin, the Ukrainian military continues to attempt to attack the positions of Russian troops – primarily, in the directions of Kupyansk, Krasny Liman, Nikolayev, and Krivoy Rog.

The General said there is evidence of the possibility of Kiev using prohibited methods of war in the area of Kherson, as well as the preparation of a massive missile strike on the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric dam by the Ukrainian side. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are considering the possibility of a massive rocket and artillery strike on Kherson indiscriminately.

"Such actions may lead to destruction of the infrastructure of a major industrial centre and large civilian casualties," Mr. Surovikin warned.

Moreover, according to the General, the NATO leadership demands an offensive in the Kherson direction at any cost from Ukraine – ‘regardless of any victims within the Armed Forces and among civilians’.

Mr. Surovikin emphasised that the situation in Kherson has become dangerous for its residents. There are problems with food logistics, water and electricity. By now, a decision has been made to evacuate some of the locals to the left bank of the Dnieper.
