Andrei Ilnitsky noted that US and NATO military specialists are forming a mental theatre of military operations with fundamentally new weapons for targeted and mass destruction of the enemy’s consciousness. According to him, the mental sphere is becoming NATO’s most important operational domain.
The Advisor to the Russian Defence Minister stated that it was the US and NATO military that set the task of transitioning from informational to cognitive-mental dominance as a determining factor in the final strategic victory over the enemy. He says this is a war for minds – a ‘mental war’.
