Polyanskiy: UN began to realise Kiev’s regime rotten insides and West’s cynicism

In 2023, many countries in the UN began to realise the ‘rotten insides’ of the Kiev regime, as well as the duplicity and cynicism of Western states – as noted by First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations Dmitry Polyanskiy, RIA Novosti reports

Polyanskiy shared his opinion that 2023 turned out to be a difficult year, but more successful than 2022.

“From New York, there is a very noticeable change in the perception of the Ukrainian crisis in the world, its root causes and prospects for a solution. Many of our UN colleagues began to realise the rotten insides of the Kiev regime, as well as its anti-people and destructive character for Kiev,” he said.

According to him, ‘the unsightly role of the West in unwinding the crisis, its duplicity, cynicism and selective blindness is becoming increasingly clear’ for many countries. Polyanskiy added that all these were especially evident after the escalation in the Middle East.

The First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN also said that he receives a large number of appeals from ordinary Americans and citizens of other Western countries, who apologise for the actions of their authorities and express support for Russia.

Polyanskiy noted that many Western independent experts, political scientists, and journalists are ready to join the UN Security Council meetings convened by Russia in order to express their point of view, which will not be passed by censorship in the West.
