The Belarusian Head of State noted that he had asked his Russian counterpart for a long time so that the countries did not stop co-operation in the defence industry and the military-industrial complex.

“You have always supported me in this regard. I’ve asked you not to stop our joint exercises, so that we continue to establish centres for training our specialists to use, first of all, new models of military equipment that we buy in Russia. We are doing this,” asserted the President of Belarus.

“I know that you and your military are considering my proposals for exercises on the territory of Belarus. I would like these decisions to be taken by you. This will benefit the Belarusian-Russian relations,” added Aleksandr Lukashenko.

In his turn, Vladimir Putin, said, “As you suggested, we will conduct the exercise at the beginning of the year. The military will coordinate and decide when to hold. Maybe, in March-February. I don’t know when, they’ll decide.”
