Gazprom CEO: European cities could freeze in winter

European cities can freeze during the winter peak of cold weather – as stated by Gazprom CEO Aleksei Miller, RIA Novosti reports

“Winter may be relatively warm, but any one week or five days will be abnormally cold. In this short period of time, God forbid, it is possible to freeze entire cities, entire lands,” Mr. Miller said. 

By the way, European countries began to prepare for winter in the summer. For example, the head of one of the largest gas companies in Germany, GASAG, Georg Friedrich, suggested that Germans run up the stairs in winter and wear two sweaters. In turn, the Swiss were threatened with imprisonment for up to three years for heating their houses above 19 degrees in winter.
