Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stressed that if a country has information regarding the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic, then it should share this information with WHO and the international scientific community.

Moreover, WHO expert Maria van Kerkhove said that the United States did not provide WHO with access to data and reports accusing a Chinese laboratory of causing COVID-19, despite several requests.

“We have sent inquiries here in Geneva to the US Office at the UN for information on the latest reports provided by the Energy Department, as well as others. We have also sent these inquiries to the US Department of Health and Human Services. At the moment, we do not have access to these reports or to the data that were used in the preparation of these reports,” she stated.
