Venezuelan President: West shuts eyes to Ukraine selling weapons to black market
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro criticised the US and EU leadership for turning a blind eye to Ukraine’s sale of weapons to the black market, RIA Novosti reports
During the TV programme Con Maduro + (With Maduro +), the President of Venezuela said, “The US government and European governments, who have spent billions of US Dollars and Euros on weapons and military technology, plug their ears and close their eyes when all these weapons they sent to Ukraine end up on the black market.”
According to the politician, corruption in Ukraine begins with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“Terrible corruption is observed in Ukraine, starting from Zelenskyy and further down (through the ranks), with everyone agreeing on the sale of weapons of any type, and these weapons circulate everywhere. This is another madness in which NATO has interfered with Ukraine,” Nicolas Maduro underlined.
Earlier, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova warned about the risks of supplying Kiev with Western weapons, which subsequently spread to the black markets of various states.
