UN: half of Gazans suffer from hunger

The UN Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that half of the Gaza Strip residents are starving, and 90 percent do not receive regular food, TASS reports

It is reported that 50 percent of Gaza’s population is in a state of extreme or severe hunger, and 90 percent of the residents is regularly going without food for a full day.

Over the past seventy days, only 10 percent of the food needed for the enclave’s 2.2 million residents has reached Gaza. The situation in the northern part of the enclave is currently considered catastrophic.
