Ukraine filed WTO complaints against countries that banned grain imports

Ukraine filed complaints with the World Trade Organisation (WTO) against Hungary, Poland and Slovakia for banning imports of its agricultural products, TASS reports

First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko said, “In accordance with the agreement on the rules and procedures for resolving disputes in the Agreement establishing the World Trade Organisation, Ukraine has submitted requests to hold consultations with Slovakia, Poland and Hungary within the WTO.”

Earlier it was reported that Kiev presented proposals to the EU regarding the import of its grain. However, the options of the Ukrainian side did not suit a number of EU member states.
