Tucker Carlson: Putin ready to compromise on Ukraine
During a speech at the World Government Summit in Dubai, American journalist Tucker Carlson stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to make a significant compromise on Ukraine, TASS reports
When asked about it, Tucker Carlson replied, “I mean, leaders of every country on the planet other than maybe the United States during the unipolar period, are forced by the nature of their jobs to compromise. Compromise is part of it. That's what diplomacy is. And he [Putin] is among those [leaders willing to seek compromise].”
The journalist also added that he had spoken with Vladimir Putin off the record after the interview, but did not disclose the content or details of their conversation.
During the interview, the Russian leader also stated that Russia had never refused dialogue on Ukraine, however, after the termination of negotiations in Istanbul in March 2022, Russia would not take the first step.
