The Economist: part of MiG-29 fighters transferred to Kiev being disassembled for spare parts
Some of the MiG-29 fighters that Kiev has received from Slovakia and Poland are being disassembled for spare parts, RIA Novosti reports with reference to The Economist
According to the publication, Warsaw and Bratislava have recently transferred about eight MiG-29 fighters to Kiev. “Many of them are not in a flight condition and are used as a source of spare parts," it reads.
Earlier, the adviser to the command of the air forces of the Ukrainian troops, Yuri Ignat, said that Kiev needs F-16 fighters. However, as The Economist notes, some Ukrainian military pilots doubt that Kiev will receive such aircraft.
