Stoltenberg: NATO is against freezing Ukrainian conflict
The North Atlantic Alliance is against freezing the conflict in Ukraine and agreements on the terms of the Russian Federation – as stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during his visit to Germany, TASS reports
The Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance said that everyone wants the end of hostilities, but at the same time ‘a just peace cannot include the freezing of the conflict and an agreement dictated by Russia’.
That was the first statement by Mr. Stoltenberg after the talks in Kiev and Moscow by representatives of African countries who proposed an initiative to resolve the conflict, based, among other things, on the idea of cessation of hostilities.
"The Ukrainian offensive continues. The more territory Ukraine can take, the stronger its cards will be at the negotiating table," the NATO Secretary General added.
