State Border Committee: over New Year holidays, 3,000+ EU residents visited Belarus without visas

Since December 29th, 3,017 foreigners from the European Union have used the Belarusian visa-free regime to visit the republic, the State Border Committee reports in its Telegram channel

Over the New Year holidays, 1,920 Lithuanian citizens, 531 citizens and 126 non-citizens of Latvia, as well as 440 Polish citizens visited Belarus.

In total, 803,623 foreigners from the neighbouring EU countries have travelled to Belarus since the beginning of the visa-free regime. These include 497,131 citizens of Lithuania, 185,332 citizens and 56,241 non-citizens of Latvia, as well as 64,919 citizens of Poland.

As recalled by the State Border Committee, the Belarusian visa-free regime has been extended until December 31st, 2024.
