Serbian army on high alert because of situation in Kosovo and Metohija
The Serbian Armed Forces are on high alert due to the evolving situation in Kosovo and Metohija – as stated by Serbian Defence Minister Milos Vucevic, TASS reports
During his talk with TV Happy channel, the head of the defence department said, “The President of the Republic, as the supreme commander in chief, ordered the army of Serbia to be ready, to increase the level of combat readiness in order to be ready to respond to any task.”
He clarified that the situation in Kosovo and Metohija is tense, the Kosovars have begun to apply the decision to ban Serbian license plates. The Minister said that no one wants to fight, but ‘the army is ready to perform any task’.
The authorities of the unrecognised Kosovo decided to fine those who did not change their Serbian registration plates from November 1st, 2022.
