Savinykh: unified legislation in tourism to become a standard for other countries of the macro-region

The unification of legislation in the field of tourism in Belarus and Russia will become a standard for other countries of the emerging macro-region – as stated by Andrei Savinykh, the Chairman of the Standing Committee on International Affairs of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, during the first Belarusian-Russian tourism congress, held in Minsk

He recalled that today the regulation of the tourism industry in our countries is different but this is corrected through work within the Union State.

“We have 28 Union State programmes, the purpose of which is to bring two countries’ legislation closer and, in fact, create a single market, including in the tourism sector. Accordingly, there is a programme envisaging the unification of legislation in this industry. What we are creating now will become the standard for other countries that will join the macro-region being created. In fact, we are now working not just in the interests of the two countries, but we are creating a form that other countries will join,” Andrei Savinykh believes.

He called on representatives of the tourism industry to more actively interact with the House of Representatives of the National Assembly and the Russian State Duma in terms of identifying existing problems in the legislation.

“We need to see and hear your opinion about what problem exists, how it could be solved, what changes you propose in the current legislation. If this is how the work is done, I can promise you that you will always be heard and you will always be helped at the level of the legislative branch,” Andrei Savinykh drew attention.
