Polish General: NATO troops deployment to Ukraine equivalent to start of World War

Sending military personnel from any of the NATO member countries to Ukraine would be equivalent to a full-scale military conflict and the beginning of World War III – as stated by the ex-Commander of the Polish Ground Forces, General Waldemar Skrzypczak, TASS reports

Commenting on French leader Emmanuel Macron's statement, in an interview with the RAR news agency, Waldemar Skrzypczak noted, “The entry of [troops] of any NATO member into Ukraine would be equivalent to a full-scale conflict and the beginning of World War III. The war in Ukraine is, of course, our business, but we cannot participate in this conflict militarily.”

The Polish General was perplexed by the fact that the French president publicly announced the possibility of sending NATO troops to Ukraine, although all negotiations on this at the Paris conference on Ukraine were conducted behind closed doors.

Waldemar Skrzypczak believes that the situation at the front is getting worse for Ukraine, “Ukraine has no one left to fight, as there has been no mobilisation. Western aid in the form of ammunition will reach there in at least six months. The Russians now have a strategic advantage, but the Ukrainian army no longer has the resources to fight.”
