Peskov: Lukashenko, Putin may discuss proposals on Ukraine
The Russian and Belarusian presidents, Vladimir Putin and Aleksandr Lukashenko, may discuss Minsk's initiatives concerning the settlement of the situation in Ukraine during the Supreme State Council of the Union State – as noted by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, RIA Novosti reports
Commenting on Aleksandr Lukashenko's proposal to declare a truce in Ukraine, Mr. Peskov said, “Of course, we have heard the statement of Aleksandr Grigorievich. Of course, the two presidents – I mean Putin and Lukashenko – will continue to communicate next week, when a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State will take place. This will give the presidents an opportunity to talk in detail with each other once again. They are likely to discuss this topic as well.”
