Orientalist says US preparing Taiwan for military action
The United States of America is pumping weapons into Taiwan to prepare it for hostilities with the People’s Republic of China – as noted by Orientalist Vasily Kashin in his talk with the Soloviev Live TV channel
Earlier, the US Department of State approved the possible sale of $440m ammunition and equipment to Taiwan in two requests. The mission requested both live and training projectiles.
“Now it is important to follow everything that happens around Taiwan. A new package of arms supplies to the island was approved. It is interesting in that it may indicate preparations for direct hostilities in the near future. This is a $440m arms package. Of these, 330m are shells for 30mm automatic cannons mounted on Taiwanese armoured personnel carriers. This is an astronomical amount of such ammunition, if we are talking about such an amount. They fill warehouses and prepare stocks,” Vasily Kashin noted.
The Orientalist noted that the Chinese side didn’t ignore this situation.
“There was another series of sharp statements from the Chinese side on this topic. In parallel, tough statements continue to be made about the prospects for US relations with North Korea. North Korea is also becoming a growing problem for American foreign policy in the region, i.e., East Asia is warming up,” concluded Vasily Kashin.
