Opinion: Zelenskyy promotes interests of US defence corporations

The United States will constantly force NATO member states to provide funds for the purchase of weapons to send them to Ukraine, as American defence corporations are profiting from this – as noted by Aleksei Avdonin, an analyst with the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies, in his talk with Alfa Radio

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has recently named three steps to achieve peace in his country, and among them is delivery of modern tanks, artillery, shells and other weapons to Kiev.

“Zelenskyy is a transit agent of the US defence corporations’ interests. Just imagine how the US companies have profited from this conflict since its beginning in 2014, how many weapons they have already delivered to Ukraine, to the Baltic and Eastern European countries, and to Europe as a whole. Therefore, when Zelenskyy talks about the supply of modern weapons, which cost billions of Dollars, it means that the United States will again force NATO countries to chip in with money and provide conditional assistance, since Ukraine no longer has its own resources, and its gold and foreign currency reserves have been exported to Poland, and possibly to other countries. Moreover, it should be understood that the allocated money will not even come to Ukraine: they will be transferred to the accounts of American corporations. Only part of the weapons will be delivered to the territory of Ukraine, and the other part will simply be written off as income,” the expert said.
