Opinion: Western countries settling their problems by initiating conflicts

Militarisation in Europe continues, with this topic discussed on the pages of Western tabloids because Europe has begun to understand that its era of dominance is ending though it is still trying to resist – as noted by philosopher, publicist and political scientist Aleksei Dzermant in his talk with Alfa Radio

“Europe has begun to understand that its era of dominance is ending, but it really doesn’t want it, because it means money, influence and power,” noted Aleksei Dzermant. “In order for rivals like China, Russia and others to be unable to challenge, it is necessary to constantly create a threat so that these countries and their competitors are drawn into conflicts or deal with some of their own internal problems and cannot compete. This means they solve their problems by initiating conflicts and wars, thus earning money from this and belittling their rivals.”

The expert said that Western states also have their own internal problems, “As prosperity and stability of Western states decline, public discontent is growing. It is necessary to show, using the example of creating an image of the enemy, that no one should rock the boat; otherwise ‘terrible Russia will attack, and everyone will feel bad’. That is, this is also an element of imposition of Fascist methods, when not only Russians, but also Eastern Slavs are made into an enemy with whom it is necessary to fight. Therefore, we see public opinion being pumped up, we see sabre rattling in order to show that they are taking some action there. Meanwhile, it must be said that these are not good trends, because we all understand what this can lead to, and on our part we are taking appropriate measures. Firstly, we warn about the consequences. Secondly, we are preparing so that no one takes us by surprise.”
