Opinion: ideas of quality are Belarus’ brand supported by the state

Quality needs to be paid attention on an ongoing basis, in all areas of the economy – as noted by the First Deputy Chairperson of the State Committee for Standardisation, Yelena Morgunova, at the recent conference dedicated to World Quality Day

“Promotion of quality ideas has become a certain brand of Belarus. In our country, the ideas of quality enjoy state support. The 2021-2025 Quality programme is currently being implemented, and it is aimed at transforming domestic production into a competitive complex capable of quickly, flexibly and promptly responding to both the needs of domestic and foreign markets. A range of quality improvement programmes have been developed and are now being implemented in various sectors of the domestic economy in industries that provide targets and indicators of the quality of products. At the same time, some concerns and departments have proactively prepared their own industry quality improvement projects,” Ms. Morgunova said.
