MP on stupid hypocrisy of Western politicians: it’s European-style insanity

Turkiye is ready to contribute to the lifting of sanctions against Belarusian potash fertilisers, and that was stated by Belarus’ Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik following his official visit to this country. Oleg Gaidukevich, a deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, commented on the topic in his talk with Alfa Radio.

“There is hunger in the world, and someone is imposing sanctions against potash fertilisers. At the same time, the one who does it, buys them from us anyway – though doing this through intermediary firms. Representatives of Europe, including from the European Parliament, came to me not long ago; they make fun of their governments, since – as they say – everything is bought from Russia and Belarus, and this is being done through Turks, Arabs and Indians. All methods are used, and this is the insanity,” Mr. Gaidukevich said.

Meanwhile, the issue of exporting potash fertilisers is a matter of food security. “It is hideosity to deprive the world of potash fertilisers. Their volume is limited, only a small number of countries produce them. No one will be able to replace Belarus, and the strongest economic experts already assert this. Therefore, it is good that Turkiye and others take such a position,” the MP added. “Many countries support Belarus not only in the issue of lifting sanctions on potash fertilisers, but also in general – in the sense that all the sanctions imposed against the country since 1996 are illegal and are solely related to its choice. No one is interested in Belarus’ elections or who is the President or deputies here, and so on. They are interested in geopolitics, and they will not be satisfied with any leader in this country who will stay in favour of the union with Russia and Belarus’ independence. They need to surrender the country to the West, and then any [person] will be recognised. No other situation suits them.”

The West is now trying to influence the elections in Ukraine. The parliamentary ones were to be held in October, and the presidential – next spring. As noted by Mr. Gaidukevich, the decision on the latter will be made in the United States.

“Ukraine confirms that a coup should not be allowed in any country. In 2014, it was organised. Before that, in one of the elections there was a third round with the participation of Yushchenko: that was, in fact, also a coup, they had no right to do that. This means that the country will live from one coup to another. There have been no democratic elections in Ukraine for 20 years, and there have been just terrible elections for a decade. Look at what was done to the politicians who advocated normal relations with Belarus and Russia. Another point is that Ukraine is a non-sovereign and non-democratic state, and it has no full-fledged identity now, sadly. This is a tragedy of the Ukrainian people. The decision on whether there will be an imitation of elections or not is made not by Kiev and especially not by Ukrainians. Moreover, it is not the Ukrainian people and Kiev who decide who will be the president of Ukraine. This is all decided by the US State Department, and Zelenskyy is their protégé. Why can he be replaced, and under what conditions can elections be held? This will depend on whether the United States sees the solution of its strategic tasks to continue the war in this decision,” the MP concluded.
