Minsk’s sports infrastructure ready for II CIS Games

Minsk sports infrastructure is fully ready to host the II CIS Games in 2023 – as stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Artem Tsuran, in his talk with the STV TV channel

The II CIS Games will be held in Belarus from August 3rd-15th, 2023.

“Minsk, like the whole of Belarus, has gained much experience in hosting major international competitions. For example, almost the entire city sports base was prepared for the II European Games. As for the II CIS Games, it is planned to hold competitions in seven sports in Minsk," Mr. Tsuran noted, adding that regional venues will also be involved.

“All city facilities are ready for the Games, so there will be no problems with holding competitions. We will accommodate all sportsmen, provide them with food and transport them to the competition venues," the official stressed.

Earlier, Belarus’ Finance Minister, Yuri Seliverstov, informed that about 6,300 people plan to take part in the II CIS Games.
