Mezentsev discussed Belarus-Russia gas interaction with Gazprom CEO

Issues of interaction between Belarus and Russia in the gas sector have been discussed at a meeting between State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev and Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee Alexey Miller, the press service of the Russian gas concern reports

“It was noted that co-operation takes into account the interests of the parties and is mutually beneficial, enabling to form common approaches towards the creation of the Union State energy market and to continue work in pursuance of the decisions of the Union State Supreme State Council and the Decree On the Main Guidelines to Implement the Union State Treaty in 2024-2026,” the press service informed.

Alexey Miller underlined that the construction of the Gazprom Centre multifunctional complex in Minsk confirms the high level of Belarus-Russia interaction in the gas sector.

Dmitry Mezentsev informed Alexey Miller about the expansion of the number of areas of liaisons between Belarus and Russia within the Union State. “Currently, the competence of the Council of Ministers also includes such areas as culture, science, education, humanitarian and civil-patriotic spheres,” the press service added.

Alexey Miller spoke about the great work that Gazprom is doing to preserve the historical and cultural heritage, enabling youngsters of Russia and Belarus to know the heroic chronicle of their Motherland and to be proud of its glorious pages.
