The NZZ newspaper published an article that weapons produced by SwissP Defence were exported from the country to Ukraine by the Polish company UMO SP. Switzerland continues to remain neutral and therefore does not allow countries that sell weapons to re-export them without the authorities’ consent. However, an article in the NZZ newspaper notes that private companies such as UMO SP are not required to sign re-export declarations from Switzerland.

“This issue is under investigation. No comments while it is ongoing,” the Ministry of Economy said.

Representatives of the Polish company commented they were not aware of any ‘alarm information’ or reports of violations, stressing that all its transactions were audited by their government.
