According to the Polsat TV channel, the first conflict occurred near the building where the office of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is located. The protesters burned a coffin with the inscription ‘Farmer. He lived for 20 years. The Green Deal killed him’ there, and then began throwing charred boards at the police. The guards pushed back the protesters, but there were no arrests.

It is noted that an obstacle in the form of a tractor was installed in front of the chancellery building, blocking the traffic. On its trailer was a mock-up of a tank made of hay bales, with the inscription ‘Agro Abrams’. In some other areas of the centre, farmers set tyres on fire, and firecrackers could be heard. Despite the ban on tractors entering the city, some violated the rule.

The main protest action began at 11am local time (13pm Minsk time) at the building of the Sejm (lower house of the Polish Parliament). According to the organisers, a total of 100 thousand to 150 thousand people will come out to protest in Warsaw. The protesters are seeking an embargo on imports of food and other agricultural products from Ukraine to Poland.
