NYT: conspirators in Germany planned the assassination of Scholz
The conspirators, who were preparing a coup d’etat in Germany, planned the assassination of the Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz – as reported by The New York Times
“During the raids, more than a hundred non-disclosure agreements were found, in which the signatories swore to keep the group’s plans secret. Among the plans were an attack on the German Parliament and the arrest of its members, as well as the assassination of the chancellor,” the article says.
Last week, law enforcement agencies in Germany conducted a large-scale operation against right-wing extremists who intended to carry out a coup d’état. Twenty-five people were detained in Germany, Austria and Italy. Moreover, houses and apartments of twenty-seven more people were searched.
