The USA will certainly face a recession, the only question is when it will happen. This opinion is shared by many American economists, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the German publication WirtschaftsWoche

The author of the article reminded that Americans have recently been increasingly faced with problems related to rising prices. Changes in the cost of fuel and food are especially noticeable, which cannot but upset the residents of the United States.

According to one of the recent polls, almost two-thirds of Americans believe that the United States will inevitably face a recession. This point of view is shared by many economists.

Earlier Jamie Dimon, the CEO of the largest US bank, JPMorgan Chase, warned to prepare for an economic ‘hurricane’. The American entrepreneur Elon Musk also stated about the inevitability of the recession.

“But if the fear of recession has already arisen, then it will not be possible to get rid of it so easily. Fear strengthens the mechanisms that make recession more likely,” reads the publication.

The author of the article added that it is still difficult to talk about the timing of the beginning of the recession. According to the survey of American economists conducted by the University of Chicago, almost 70 percent of respondents are confident that the USA will certainly face a recession, it’s only a matter of time. The latest deadline, which economists call, is the second quarter of 2023.

“That is, the recession will definitely come. The only question is when,” the publication concluded.
