Lukashenko: Zelenskyy, Ukrainian military enter into serious confrontation

In his talk with journalists after opening of children's polyclinic No. 9 in Minsk today, the President touched upon the problem of Ukraine’s western territories, drawing attention to the fact that Poland is looking at them very thoroughly

“They will fail to cut them off,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said, adding, “As I am being reported, a serious confrontation is already emerging between Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian military.”

The point is that servicemen, being on the front line, understand the balance of forces in the conflict with Russia. The President explained, “They see what they are capable of, and for how long they will be able to fight. Meanwhile, they will not be able to continue fighting. As you see, Russia has changed tactics, and it is now simply grinding them – which means the death. Even Zelenskyy admits that 100 people die there [daily]. Actually, not a hundred but thousands of people die there. There will be no one to fight there tomorrow, and the territorial defence will not be able to replace the armed forces. The military see it. They also see that he has granted a status to Poles. What is this leading to?”

Aleksandr Lukashenko recalled that Poland had recently laid claims to Belarusian lands – not only western ones, but the whole of the country. He noted that, in Ukraine, such trends are already obvious, “A conflict between the President and the military is emerging there already, and I am convinced that the Ukrainian military will behead anyone – never mind nationalists and what not, but particularly Nazis as some call them. They want to have self-governed and free Ukraine, and they do not want not only Russians and Belarusians there, but also Poles. They will decapitate anyone who wants to divide Ukraine today. We do not need that, and I already said this a long time ago. Look, it is coming true. We need to see this. I once said that they would address us and Russians so that we would protect this Ukraine. This will happen.”
