In particular, the Head of State said, “Despite the continuing difficult situation on the world market, we have achieved quite good results in foreign and mutual trade this year. Almost all members of our Union enjoy a double-digit growth in foreign exports – which is a good signal.”

According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, this is rooted not only in the deferred demand effect or a low base of 2020. Strategic Directions for Developing the Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025 are being implemented as planned.

"Despite some difficulties, progressive work continues on formation of common markets of the Union," the President said, adding, “At the same time, some important issues need to be addressed in the process of creation of common markets for gas, oil and petroleum products.”

Touching upon the extensive meeting agenda, the Belarusian Head of State dwelt in more detail on the following issues, “We are to sign an agreement on application of navigation seals in the Eurasian Economic Union for freight tracking which is one of the main elements of the unified customs transit system of the Union that is now being formed.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko also emphasised that digitalisation of transportation is now in the spirit of the time, while application of navigation seals will make it possible to increase the level of confidence in trade between the Union countries, optimise control measures at internal borders, and enhance the EAEU transit attractiveness.
