Lavrov blamed Western countries for the ‘collapse of Ukraine’
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a meeting of the UN Security Council on Ukraine that the West disrupted the implementation of the Minsk Agreements and therefore bears direct responsibility for the ‘collapse of Ukraine’ and the incitement of civil war in it, TASS reports
Sergei Lavrov said, “Having disrupted the implementation of the Minsk Agreements, the West is directly responsible for the collapse of Ukraine and the incitement of civil war there.”
He also drew attention to the fact that Western countries ‘pretend that they do not remember the meaning of the Minsk Agreements, which was the reunification of Donbass with Ukraine with guarantees of respect for fundamental human rights, especially the right to one’s native language’. In his opinion, Western representatives are afraid of professional discussions that expose their demagoguery.
