Iranian Ambassador to Belarus: joint cultural events between Minsk and Tehran will strengthen friendship between nations

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of relations between Belarus and the Islamic Republic of Iran, various cultural events will be held in Minsk and Tehran this year. This will strengthen ties and friendship between the two countries’ peoples - as stated by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Belarus, Saeed Yari, at the opening of the Amazing Iran cultural and art exhibition in Minsk on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

“Amazing Iran is an accurate description of my ancient country, which is already 7,000 years old. It contains an amazing historical, civilisational and cultural heritage. What you see at this exhibition is just a drop from the ocean of beauty, culture and tourist attractions of Iran,” the head of the Iranian diplomatic mission underlined during the opening of the exposition.

He recalled that March 18th, 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Iran. This year, according to Saeed Yari, is proposed to be declared the year of friendship between the two states.

“In 2023, we will have about 25-30 different cultural events. Their implementation will contribute to the awareness of the citizens of Belarus and Iran about the cultural and tourist opportunities of our countries,” the Ambassador stressed.
