Gazprom plans to reduce gas supply for transit via Ukraine
Gazprom records ‘gas subsidence’ in Ukrainian storage facilities, which was supposed to be delivered to Moldova, and, from November 28th, it intends to begin reducing gas supplies via Ukraine if the transit imbalance persists, TASS reports with reference to the company’s statement
Gazprom said the volume of gas supplied to the Sudzha gas measuring station for transit to Moldova via Ukraine exceeds the physical volume transmitted at the border of Ukraine with Moldova.
"On November 21st, Moldovagaz partially paid Gazprom for November supplies, in accordance with the contract. The volume of actually delivered Russian gas, in respect of which payment for current supplies was violated in November, makes 24.945m cubic metres. The total accumulated volume of ‘subsidence’ on the territory of Ukraine make 52.52m cubic metres,” the company stated.
If the transit imbalance persists, starting from 10am on November 28th, Gazprom will begin reducing gas supply to the Sudzha gas measuring station for transit via Ukraine in the amount of the daily underdelivery.
