Deputy invites Baltic States to Belarus-Russia Union State: everyone joining EU loses sovereignty

In his talk with SB TV YouTube channel, deputy of the House of Representatives of Belarus’ National Assembly Oleg Gaidukevich explains who really threatens the Baltic States and why an alliance with Belarus and Russia is a winning option for them

A programme viewer touched upon the topic of Ukraine, where land has long been sold at an accelerated pace, and it is mainly foreign companies that are buying it. A special military operation stirred up this process, making land cheaper. Such actions won’t bring anything good to Ukraine, so the viewer asked Oleg Gaidukevich whether it is possible to adopt such a ‘land law’ in Belarus, as in Ukraine.

“Ukraine was sold out even before the special military operation,” the deputy states. “This is one of the reasons for the start of the war in Ukraine, because there is practically nothing to sell there anymore. Everything was taken away from Ukraine: industrial enterprises, land, beaches. Now this all belongs to foreign companies or oligarchs, who keep all their money in offshore companies abroad. When there’s nothing left to sell, they take the last: human lives. That’s the problem.”

Oleg Gaidukevich also explains why such a situation would never happen in Belarus.

“Since his early presidency, Belarus’ President Aleksandr Lukashenko has refused to sell key national wealth. Those freaks who write nasty things about our President cannot understand one simple thing: the President leaves behind the same state enterprises and the same land. All this belonged to Belarus and its people, and continues to be so. Meanwhile, Zelenskyy is a clown in Kiev, it’s even hard to call him a man. He did not become a man just because he put on a green T-shirt... He leaves behind only corpses, blood and destroyed country,” notes the deputy. “Before him, each of Ukrainian presidents did the same, selling the country’s wealth whereas everything in Belarus belonged to its people and remains so. We will save our country, so that in half a century – when someone gives an interview – he could give such a good example of Belarus as I do now: not a single large state-owned enterprise was sold, everything remained with the nation. Then we would again say that Belarus is a real sovereign and independent state, just as it is now. When I hear reproaches after the meeting of the presidents of Belarus and Russia [Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, respectively] that we have lost sovereignty, I want to ask: are you crazy? Go to Poland and see what the Poles have, what kind of enterprises they have. The same refers to Lithuania. Can they make any decisions themselves, or is everything decided for them in the White House? Belarus is a sovereign state. God grant we remain like this for another 100, 200, 300, 1,000 years. This is what we have been fighting for all our lives.”

Oleg Gaidukevich also explains the differences between Belarus-Russia Union State and the European Union, “The union with Russia strengthens our sovereignty and statehood, while the European Union is taking away sovereignty and statehood. This is the difference between the two unions. Everyone who joins the EU loses their sovereignty. That’s it, it’s over. In our situation, the sovereignty is only strengthening. Therefore, we invite Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia to join us. When you finally wake up, welcome to the Union State. We will keep you safe. Excellent S-400 missiles will stand on the border to protect you from NATO, because you are threatened not by Russia and Belarus, but by the North Atlantic Alliance. Meanwhile, you must make this decision yourself. We will never attack you. We need peace.”
