France said sanctions against Russian diamonds are destroying Western economies

Western countries are destroying their own economies by imposing anti-Russian sanctions – as stated by Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, a deputy in the National Assembly, leader of the Get up, France party, RIA Novosti reports

On January 1st, a formal ban on imports of non-industrial Russian diamonds to the EU and G7 countries came in force, and Mr. Dupont-Aignan posted on his X account, “In the interval between denial and madness, the EU and the G7 decide on the twelfth package of sanctions, this time against Russian diamonds."

The French politician added that the EU and G7 countries are destroying their economies to ‘finance an endless conflict’.
