Expert believes China will become US real opponent
Washington sees China as a real rival that can defeat the US – as noted by political scientist, Americanist Malek Dudakov in his talk with the Soloviev Live TV channel
According to the expert, the US now fears most of all that China will become a new superpower.
“Washington fears that China will put itself in the position of America, i.e., it will become a new superpower. China is perceived as the only country in the world that can become a real opponent of the United States, which can defeat the United States,” Malek Dudakov said.
The expert also said that the state of the American economy also depends on Beijing’s relations with Washington.
“The trade wars started by [former US President Donald] Trump back in 2018 are one of the drivers of inflation. Despite the US attempts to somehow break its dependence on China, this dependence remains at a fairly serious level. Last year, trade between the US and China hit a record high of almost $700bn. No one else in the world has such a turnover; I mean two countries, not the entire blocs. Of course, if there is a big escalation in the Pacific region now, it will be a serious blow to the world economy, and to America in particular. Therefore, Washington is not interested right now in trying to arrange a big war in the South China Sea. But the fact that the United States will continue to put pressure on China, fearing the ambitions of Beijing, is true,” Malek Dudakov concluded.
