Date of summit of EU heads and China announced
The Chinese Foreign Ministry has announced that the summit of the European Union and China will be held in Beijing on December 7th, RIA Novosti reports
A statement with the announced date has been posted on the official website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry. “By agreement between China and the EU, the 24th meeting of the leaders of China and the European Union will be held in Beijing on December 7th,” it reads.
The President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, will meet with heads of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
The South China Morning Post already reported that the leaders of the European Union will personally ask Xi Jinping at the summit to influence the thirteen Chinese companies that Brussels suspects of evading sanctions against Russia.
