Chinese companies investigate possibilities for importing Belarusian peat

Chinese businessmen visited Turshovka JSC to discuss prospects of co-operation in the peat industry – mostly focusing on the possibilities to establish supplies of Belarusian high-bog peat to the Chinese market, the Energy Ministry’s Telegram channel reports

As informed, the parties expressed interest in implementing joint mutually beneficial projects, and export logistics and partnership conditions will be worked out in the near future.

Belarus ranks fourth in the world in terms of peat extraction, and the country leads globally in terms of peat briquettes production. This industry not only meets the needs of the domestic market, but also boasts a significant export potential.

Turshovka JSC is among Belarus’ major peat processing companies. It specialises in production of peat products of fuel and non-fuel groups.
