Bryansk Region to boost production of Gomselmash grain harvesters by one-half to two times

The Bryansk Region plans to increase the production of Gomselmash grain harvesters by one-half to two times, Governor of Russia’s Bryansk Region Aleksandr Bogomaz told reporters after today’s meeting with the President of Belarus

In particular, he noted that last year Bryanskselmash produced almost a thousand Gomel harvesters, “The immediate goal is to increase the production by one-half to two times. Today we are manufacturing a new, very good, Gomel harvester – able to thresh over 200 tonnes of grain per day.”

Aleksandr Bogomaz underlined that the Bryansk Region is constantly learning from Belarusian partners in the agricultural sector, “Today we have good results on Bryansk soil, being first in Russia in terms of rapeseed, corn, and potato yields. We produce every fifth kilogram of potatoes in Russia. We’re placed second in Russia in wheat production. All our wheat varieties are of Belarusian selection.”
