Belyaev explained what benefits Poland derives from Russian-Ukrainian conflict

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues, among other things, because the West is not interested in its completion, particularly, Poland receives many benefits – as stated by political analyst Aleksei Belyaev during his talk with Alfa Radio

Commenting on the visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to Kiev, the expert noted that Warsaw has taken a position primarily aimed at promoting its interests.

“Poland’s goal is transparent and understandable: it wants to gain a foothold in Eastern and Central Europe, becoming a key type of country that controls all processes. There are political, economic and military tasks set by the Polish leadership. The political tasks include the greatest possible control over the Ukrainian lands, and thanks to the stupid actions of Kiev, the Poles have made great progress in this direction: a law has been passed in Ukraine enabling them to occupy a privileged position on Ukrainian lands, to manage enterprises and organisations, to enjoy various advantages. The Polish authorities have an understanding that Eastern Ukraine is unlikely to be under the control of Poland. Therefore, Warsaw wants to tie Lvov, Volyn and Ivano-Frankovsk regions as close as possible to itself.”

According to Aleksei Belyaev, it is possible that Poland is considering the possibility of sending its troops to Western Ukraine so that the Ukrainians can transfer more forces to the eastern front. But for now, Warsaw is a kind of mediator between the US and Ukraine. “Poland is trying to act as a transmission link so that all weapons are supplied through it. We know that some of these weapons do not reach Ukraine and the money flows into the pockets of various businessmen. On the front lines, Ukrainian soldiers run around with one machine gun for two and some kind of cardboard bulletproof vests while someone perfectly sells the necessary [for the Ukrainian Armed Forces] ammunition and gear – and then we see explosions in Serbia and plane crashes, it’s not clear where and with what they were flying. Ukraine has become a place where the entire shadow military business of the world winds up huge profits. So, Poland is not interested in ending the conflict. The longer it lasts, the more benefits it can reap. It is possible to promise any kind of support but the main thing for Warsaw is to consolidate Polish influence in the western regions and to finally turn Ukraine into a puppet.”
