Belarusian citizenship granted to 422 persons, including 60 minors

The corresponding decree No. 69 was signed on March 17th by President Aleksandr Lukashenko, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports

In addition to the applications of immigrants from Ukraine, applications for citizenship of persons who arrived from 25 countries – including Algeria, Armenia, Vietnam, India, Iraq, Yemen, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Libya, Poland, Syria, Sudan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and others – have been satisfied

At the same time, the Head of State decided to reject applications for citizenship of a number of foreign citizens who had repeatedly violated the laws of Belarus, as well as those who had not worked for a long time.

In general, since the Big Conversation with the President in August 2021, Belarusian citizenship has been granted to 8,149 persons, including 5,963 citizens of Ukraine.
