Belarus, Uzbekistan plan to set up innovative biopharmaceutical facility

Belarus’ Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich met with the Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency at Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Health, Sardor Kariev, and the management of Russian InterLek – as reported by Belarus’ Healthcare Ministry


Experts discussed the implementation of a joint project: establishment of the Innovative Biopharmaceutical Facility with Full-Cycle Technology for Production of Plasma-Derived Medicines and Biomedical Cell Products. In addition, production of plasma-derived medicines and their prospective exports were negotiated.

It was agreed that a joint venture will be set up on the basis of innovative technologies developed by specialists of the Republican Scientific and Practical Centre for Transfusion Medicine and Medical Biotechnology (Belarus). The sides also discussed registration of plasma-derived medicines in Belarus and Uzbekistan.
