Belarus increased exports of goods and services to $4bn

In January 2022, Belarus increased its exports of goods and services by 31.5 percent to reach $4.029bn compared to the same period of 2021 – as reported by BelTA with reference to the National Bank data

The foreign trade turnover of goods and services amounted to $7.362bn – up 28.7 percent compared to January 2021 – including imports making up $3.333bn (an increase of 25.6 percent). The positive balance of foreign trade in goods and services was at the level of $695.9m (in January 2021, the balance was also positive, standing at $409.7m).

The foreign trade turnover of goods increased by 32.5 percent – up to $6.187bn. Exports of goods increased by 36.1 percent to reach $3.251bn while imports rose by 28.8 percent to make up $2.936bn. The balance was positive in the amount of $315.4m (in January 2021, it was also positive and totalled $109.1m).

The foreign trade turnover of services increased by 12 percent to reach $1.174bn. Exports of services increased by 15.2 percent to stand at $777.6m while imports rose by 6.1 percent to achieve $397.1m. The balance of foreign trade in services was positive and stood at $380.5m (in January 2021, the positive balance was $300.6m).
