Belarus’ diplomats took part in SCO Traditional Medicine Forum

Belarus’ Consul General in Shanghai Andrei Andreev and Consul Konstantin Golovko represented our country at the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation Forum on Traditional Chinese Medicine, held in the city of Nanchang, Jiangxi Province – as reported by Belarus’ Consulate General in Shanghai

“Belarusian diplomats took part in the forum and discussed issues of Belarusian-Chinese co-operation with the leadership of Jiangxi Province and the city of Nanchang,” the Belarusian foreign office said in a statement.

In an interview with Jiangxi Province television, Andrei Andreev underlined that traditional Chinese medicine – as an effective and affordable means of maintaining health – is well known to Belarusians, and its spread in our country is one of the priorities of the national healthcare system. Thus, since September 2023, in line with the Head of State’s decree, a new legal regulation has been in effect in the China-Belarus Great Stone Industrial Park aimed at promoting traditional Chinese medicine, the provision of medical services, and the production and import of medical products and medicines. “Belarus recognises and applies traditional Chinese medicine based on their registration in the PRC and does not require additional research and procedures,” noted the Consulate General of Belarus in Shanghai.
